Toothpaste and Saliva While Fasting
salam aleykom. i read in this site a fatwa saying that it's ok to brush one's teeth while we're fasting, as long as we don't swallow anything. and this is what i do, i don't swallow anything and i spit many times so to make sure nothing is left in my mouth. but my mouth keeps smelling the fresh odour of th toothpaste, and i can taste it and after having brushed my teeth, i may swallow some saliva and it does tastes like toothpaste. and i cant avoid that. so does it affect my fasting? is it still correct?tnx a lot and jazakom allah khayran
