Assalamu 'alaikum,Question concerning Surah 2 verse 282??and get two witnesses out of your own men. And if there are not two men, then a men and two women, such as you agree for witnesses, so that if one of them errs, the other can remind her??Please can I get an answer to my questions as I am finding it difficult to give answers to non-Muslims.-Does this verse imply that two women are equal the value of one man?as witnesses are women less able to judge accurately to events that take place in front of them, if so why? -This verse is concerning witnesses used for making contracts and wills, but do these rules apply to other witness cases such as, criminal cases, sighting of the moon etc? Or is it different as in the cases of accusing a women?s chastity in which case four are needed in which case does one of the witness need to be a man? -Lastly, in any groups of witnesses should there always be at least one man present, e.g. in a group of ten women? jazakum Allahu khayr

As-Salamu `alaykum Waramatullah Wabarakatuh! How does Islam v iew the testimony given by women? Is such testimony admissible? What about non-Muslims' testimony? Is it accepted in Islam? Thanks.

Why are two women witnesses needed to prove something while only one man is needed to prove it? What I mean here is: why a woman's testimony is half of a man's?
