Choosing One’s Last Name or Family Name
Dear Scholar,Assalamu Alaikum. I like to know what is the islamic ruling of choosing one's last name or family name? Should it be of father's family name or mother's family name? Which one is of mother's family name, is it her father's or mother's family name? Which one is of father's family name, is it his father's or mother's family name? Jazak Allah!!!
