Islam and Superstitions
Dear scholar,Assalam AlekumI have two questions.the first one is that many Muslims in the sub-continent hold what I find to be superstitions. They say that the janamaaz (prayer mat) should be folded after use else Shaytan will pray on it. They also advise young women to not walk under trees during the night because djinns live there. Can you please clarify what the correct Islamic conclusion is to these thoughts. My second question is if reading tea leaves is a legitimate Islamic practice to unearth what is wrong with one's CURRENT (not future) life. Is using numbers associated with one's name to see if a decision is good also a legitimate practice?thank you for your time. Allah Hafiz
