Supererogatory prayer

Respected scholars, As-salamu `alaykum. In one masjid here, I saw people praying two nafl (optional) rak`ahs immediately after the Adhan of Maghrib, but before the fard salah (pres cribed prayer). Is this practice correct? Jazakum Allahu khayran.

asallam u alykum what is the ishraq salah and the duha salah,at what times  should these be read and how many rakats(units) should be read?      jazakallah

Dear Sir, as-Salamu `alaykum. I would be highly grateful if you could provide me with an appropriate answer to the following question: What is the merit of optional prayers? How many rak`hs of these prayers should be performed daily?

As-Salamu `alaykum. Is it permissible for me to limit myself to the fard (obligatory) prayers without praying the Sunnah (supererogatory) prayers along with them?

In the rakahs of tahajjud is it necessary to recite al-faatihah and another surah recited or is only al-faatihah required.

If someone has the habit of praying Tahajjud Prayer, and yet, sometimes he wakes up after the Fajr time has started but Prayer in the mosque has not started, can he pray 2 or 4 rak`ahs after the Fajr time has started as nawafil before joining the congregation in the mosque? Or should he wait for the sunrise and then pray these nawafil with ishraq? Jazakum Allahu khayran.

What are the acts that a pilgrim is encouraged to do while performing Tawaf? J

As-salamu `alaykum. Some people say that the sunnah of Fajr Prayer must be prayed even if the Iqamah for the obligatory Prayer has been called. Others have said that you must go the extent of breaking the sunnah Prayers if the Iqamah for the obligatory Prayer has been called. Which view is valid, and is there a reference from Qur’anic or Hadith to support it?

Respected scholars of Islam, As-Salamu `alaykum. Is it allowed for a person to pray obligatory Prayer behind a man who is praying Nafl or supererogatory Prayer?

I want to perform `Umrah or Hajj, but the circumstances of my work hinder me from doing so. Some people told me that if I perform Fajr Prayer in a congregation and keep reciting the Qur'an until sunrise and then offer two rak`ahs of Duha Prayer, it would be written in my record that I performed `Umrah. Is this right?

Asalamalaykom, my question is regarding "nafl" prayers. I have seen the fatwa on praying obligatory prayers with the intention of it being a nafl prayer which is acceptable, is this ok for all the five daily prayers, for example with asr and maghreb prayers, Is it possible to pray in congregation again with someone who has not prayed even these two prayers? I know the messenger SAWS, did not encourage nafl prayers between asr and maghrib, and also maghreb is it ok to pray three rakahs again after the first maghreb. I have seen the fatwa regarding praying behind an imam who is praying with the intention of nafl, is it ok for someone to lead an obligatory prayer such as Isha or others with the intention of nafl prayer?Gazzakumallah Khayr

As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh, I have read in hadith that the prophet sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam said that tahajjud prayer should be by twos and then conclude with one. My question is, is the final one the witr? Can we conclude with 3 rak'aahs of witr after the tahajjud? Because i might pray witr 3 rak'aahs usual with du'aa Qunoot, or i might pray witr with 2 rak'aahs with tasleem and then pray final one. But what i'm saying is i always would pray witr 3 rak'aahs. Asslam alaikum I want to know about the additional prayers eq; Thajud, Ishraq. how many additional prayers are there, timing and how many raka to offer

Assalamu alaikum, I saw some people praying 4 raka'at before salam in trawi prayers, and that the prophet also did it. pls i wan to know if it is true.
