Using Haram Animal Sources for External Use
Dear Scholars:as-salamu ?alaikum! It is said that ?As far as using animal fats in non-food items like soap, shoe polish, etc. are concerned, there is nothing wrong in it. Since they are not consumed, they are not considered haram for external use. The accepted principle in jurisprudence is that such materials extracted from animals are considered pure." My question is if you know that there are existing halal certifiers and available products that are from halal sources, is it still advisable to use one that comes from haram animal so urces for external use? Jazakum Allah khayran.
