Total silence in recitation in Silent Prayers
?Assal?mu ?alaikum wa rahmatul-l?hi wa barak?tuh,I have a question about silent recitation / reciting silently (of Salaah, ?ad?iyah and ?adhkaar). In question 1 up to and including 4 I assume that there is movement of the tongue, that one hears oneself under normal circumstances and that the heart is focussed, but you may change these assumptions if you like.1. Is whispering allowed in silent recitation (yes/no)? 2. Is it obligatory to use the vocal cords (voice) in silent recitation (yes/no)? 3. Is it allowed to use the vocal cords (voice) in silent recitation (yes/no) (if whispering is allowed)? 4. Is whispering better in silent recitation or using the vocal cords (if both are allowed)? 5. Is the utterance valid if one whispers, but does not hear (under normal circumstances) it or is not sure whether one has really heard (under normal circumstances) it (yes/no) (if whispering is allowed)?6. Is the utterance valid if one whispers, but is not sure whether one has really said it properly (by not hearing oneself (under normal circumstances) and laziness of the mouth) (yes/no) (if whispering is allowed)? You may omit the substantiation/support (so please answer explicitly: 1. yes/no, 2. yes/no, 3. yes/no, 4. whispering / using the vocal cords is better, 5. yes/no, 6. yes/no). Feel free to contact me if you have any question. Jaz?kal-l?hu khair?.?Assal?mu ?alaikum wa rahmatul-l?hi wa barak?tuh.
