Is the Qur’an a Carbon Copy of the Previous Scriptures?

Dear scholars, as-Salamu `alaykum wa Ramatullah wa Barakatuh! I have a question relating to the credibility of the first source of Shari`ah, the Qur'an. How can you refute the claim spread by non-Muslims that the Qur'anic law was compiled from the previous scriptures? Jazakum Allah Khairan!

Why Didn’t Allah Preserve Scriptures Prior to the Qur’an?

Dear sir, I have a question to ask: Why didn't Allah choose to preserve the earlier messages (Torah, Gospel, etc.) the way He took upon Himself the task of preserving the accuracy and authenticity of Qur'an?
