Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. I recently spent some time with a Muslim family in which the husband was a convert to Islam. I was surprised to find that he hasn’t missed a single Prayer (Salah) in 5 years, ma sha’ Allah. However, he told me that he doesn’t do the prayers in Arabic, instead, completely in English. Is this allowed? Jazakum Allah khayran.
I would like to know if it is mandatory to raise my hands in prayer while standing up after ruku` (bowing down). Jazakum Allahu Khairan.
Assalam alaikum, May Allah keep on blessing you for all the good things you are doing to us.I have done some bad things in my life, and i ask for Allahs forgiveness on several occasions, but still i go and do something bad again. I pray yes, but i dont do any other thing apart from that even that i pray lazily and attimes not on time. I only pray on time do extra supplications, special prayers and so on, when i have a problem, and immediately my problem is over i will forget these good things iam doing and return to my former self.My question Ya sheikh is that, why cant i always be praying hard, doing extra prayers and stuff like that, i really like it when iam deeply religious? Please advise me on how to be a good muslim at all times.Thank you.Ma assalam.

If a Muslim knowingly prays in an incorrect manner such as sitting the wrong way, bowing improperly, and so on, will the prayer still be counted?
I would like to ask you some questions regarding salah and some of its practices. I have heard in salah we do not say “amen” after the imam says “amen.” Is that true?
I am traveling for a month and then going back home; am I allowed to pray qasr (to shorten my prayer), taking into consideration that I know in advance that I am going for a defined period, or should I pray in the normal way?
Recently, we heard about some people claiming that it is improper to recite Surah 80 and Surah111 of the Qur’an in the congregationnal prayer as the first Surah. They justify this by sa ying that these Surahs ascribe faults to the Prophet, and the second one talks about the Prophet’s uncle Abu Lahab being punished in the Hellfire. How can such claims be refuted?
Dear scholars, As-salamu `alaykum. I have a question about where to place our hands after the opening takbir (takbirat al-ihram) in salah (Prayer): Are we supposed to place our hands below the navel or above it or on our chest? Someone told me the other day that it was incorrect to place the hands below the navel, as we are required to place them on the chest. I have been brought up in the Hanafi School, and I have been taught all along to place my hands below the navel while praying. I would like you to clarify this issue for me. Jazakum Allah khayran.
Respected scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. I have a question that has been bothering me for years. I believe I suffer from anxiety that manifests in extreme sweating on my head. During salah (ritual Prayer), usually when in congregation, I cannot control the sweating and it literally drips off my head and onto my face. Is it permissible for me to carry a handkerchief with me during salah to wipe the sweat? Jazakum Allahu Khayran.
Respected scholars, as-Salamu `alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh. Please, enlighten me regarding the virtue and significance of Salah (Prayer). Jazakum Allah khayran.
Dear scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. How should a praying person raise his hands in prayer?
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. What is the distinction, if any, between Duha Prayer and Al-Ishraq Prayer? Is it true that one gets rewards of Hajj and `Umrah by performing Al-Ishraq Prayer? Can you also suggest the precise intention to be formulated while performing the above named Prayers? Jazakum Allah khayran.
As-Salamu `alaykum. What is the ruling of Shari`ah on closing eyes during the prayer (Obligatory 5 daily prayers)?
Scholars of Islam, As-Salamu `alaykum. I’d like to know when salah (prayers) can be combined for reasons other than necessities. Jazakum Allah khayran.
Why do people, after praying the obligatory prayers, move from their original positions to offer their Sunnah prayers?
As-Salam `alaykum wa Rahmatu Allah wa Barakatuh. Dear Sheikh, could you please shed light on the merits of straightening the rows and filling in the gaps in jama`ah Prayer? Please, support me with some hadiths.
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. The Jumu`ah (Friday) Prayer at my university is held in a chapel. There is a cross hanging on the wall in the room where the Prayer is held. Is this permissible? And are Muslims allowed to pray in churches or chapels? Jazakum Allah khayran.
