Animal Sacrifice on the Day of `Eid Al-Adha or offering it’s price.
Assalaamu Alaikum,Can a person be a good muslim without performing animal sacrifice on EID? Can sacrifice be of different nature, such as giving valuable possessions to poors? Allah is the most merciful, can he accept this substitution of not killing animal on eid and rather giving money, food and valuble possessions to poor?I have my firm faith in Islam, but somehow animal sacrifice on Eid makes me into uncomfortable possition.Another reason is I am willing to marry a girl who is presently hindu, but willing to convert to islam if i promise that instead of animal sacrifice i sacrifice other possessions on eid.Please guide me, islamically what am i suppose to do?
