As-Salamu `Alaykum. When reciting the glorious Qur’an, someone may say ‘Salamu `Alaykum’. Should I respond to his Salam or should I continue my recitation? Jazakum Allah Khayran!

Lying down while Reciting the Qur’an

As-Salamu `Alaykum, I want to know if it is permissible to read the Glorious Qur'an while lying down. I do this because when lying down I happen to read more of it than when sitting, and recently someone told me it is not right.
