Suicide by Proxy
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. I would like to know the Islamic explanation for a person who commands somebody to shoot or kill him in order to avoid being caught by an enemy or face an embarrassing situation, knowing that suicide is totally prohibited in Islam. In other words, what is the Islamic point of view on “suicide by proxy”? May Allah continue to guide us. Salam.
