Preventing a Wife from Visiting Her Non-Muslim Parents
As-Salamu `alaykum. Is it permissible for a Muslim husband to completely prevent his Muslim Western wife from visiting her Christian parents? Is he allowed to allow her to visit them only sparingly? Does Islam prefer its adherents to sever ties with their non-Muslim families and blood relations? Jazakum Allah khayran.
