Preparing for Death
Respected scholars, As-salamu `alaykum. I would like to know the proper things to do, for I have lung cancer and neither I nor my wife know what to do when I die. I have been given 12 months to live by my doctors. Please tell me what should be done after I go to the morgue. Should the brothers come and take me from there? Or do I have to go to a funeral home first? We really do not know what is the proper thing to do. Jazakum Allahu khayran.
