Posthumous Promotion
As-salamu `alaykum. May Allah bless you all for the enormous service you are rendering towards Islam. Please enlighten me about Islam's stance on posthumous promotions. We find in many countries high ranking officers are being awarded such promotions when they die in combat, etc.
