Dear brothers and sisters, As-Salamu `alaykum. I am a Muslim male living in Canada. One day I went out to dinner with my friends and they encouraged me to eat pork. They said Allah created all creatures and He created the pig. Pigs no longer eat filthy garbage and are properly fed. So I ate pork. Have I sinned? Is it haram (prohibited)? Please help me.
Muslim men are allowed to marry Christian or Jewish women without converting them to Islam. The Muslim husbands are required to respect the religion of such wives. The question I’d like to ask is: Can a Muslim husband allow his Christian or Jewish wife to drink wine and eat pork in his house? Can such wife take wine and eat pork when she visits her Christian relatives or friends?
Dear scholars of Islam, as-Salamu `alaykum! I would like to know why eating pork is prohibited in Islam, despite the fact that some people claim that pigs are very useful, especially when compared to the slow rate of energy conversion to flesh (7% only) whereas the rate of pig’s conversion to flesh is 20%? I just want to know the wisdom behind the prohibition of pork in Islam. Jazakum Allah Khayran!
Is it permissible for a Muslim who owns a supermarket in the West to sell pork to non-Muslims? I think that there is a Hanafi ruling regarding the permissibility of such selling. Could you please shed some light on this issue as it concerns many Muslims, especially those who live in the West? Jazakum Allah Khayran.

My job is in finance and accounting at the corp office dealing with numbers only and I am not involved in physical handling of pork products. I would like know if my job in this company is permissible.
