Is it permissible to delay throwing the pebbles until after dark?

I intend to perform Hajj with my mother this coming Hajj season, in sha' Allah. My concern is due to the fact that my mother is in her old age. My question is about throwing the pebbles in Hajj. I read somewhere that I can perform this requirement of Hajj on behalf of my mother because it is too physically demanding for old people. Is this correct?

Assalam Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barkthu,I performed Hajj Tamattu this year (January 2006), on 12 Dhul Hijja, we left Mina for Makkha at approx10am.  We did our stoning before Fajr on 12 Dhul Hijja then returned to Mina and left Mina before Zawwal.  Please can you advsie if this is allowed or if a sacrifice needs to be offered.Wa'Salaam

Some pilgrims hastened to stone the Jamarat in two days, and some others could not stone on some days. Is it permissible in Islam to quicken or delay stoning? I would like also to know if it is obligatory to spend the night of the days of stoning in Mina, though this may be difficult for some pilgrims. I would like you to give me the Shari`ah point of view on these issues as soon as possible.

We hastened to leave Hajj early and departed from Mina before sunset, so that we would not have to stay until the third day. After leaving Mina we returned and threw the pebbles after sunset. Is what we did permissible? Is it essential for the one who wants to leave early to throw the pebbles before sunset on the second day, or does the throwing have nothing to do with it, and is leaving before sunset what matters? What should we do if we have made a mistake?

During Hajj I missed throwing the pebbles intentionally. Is my Hajj valid?
