Marrying a Non-Practicing Muslim Woman
As-aalamu `alaykum. What is the point of view of Islam concerning a committed Muslim marrying a non-practicing woman on the pretext that he can reform her character? The committed youth who hold this opinion believe that righteous women already kn ow the way to the right path, while non-practicing ones need to be guided to it. There are also some committed women who accept to marry non-practicing men on the same pretext. What does Islam say about this? Would such an attitude affect the Muslim community?
