non-Muslim Festivals

As-Salam `alaykum. I am new Muslim and I am living with my Christian family in a non-Muslim society. My family is celebrating Christmas and I want to ask if it is wrong for me to attend their celebration.

Dear scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. What are the rules that govern relations between Muslims and non-Muslims? What are the codes of manners that should be observed here?

Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. Can we attend a Christian marriage ceremony? My husband, three children and I are Muslims. My family, however, are all Christians and they are very respectful towards Islam. My cousin is getting married and she has asked if my daughter could be a flower girl at her wedding. The traditional role of the flower girl is to carry a basket full of petals and to toss them as she walks down the aisle just before the bride. We would like to know if we can accept her invitation. I am an Egyptian and I notice that every year people in my country celebrate a spring festival known as Sham an-Naseem. Could you please furnish me with a fatwa regarding the Islamic ruling on this issue?
