Nail polish

Scholars of Islam, As-Salam `alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh. Is the wearing of nail polish allowed for Muslim women (in public)?

Dear scholars, as-Salamu `alaykum. I was wondering if it is haram (forbidden) to wear nail polish when you pray? Jazakum Allah khayran.

1-Why is it haram to have nail polish and pray? My mother stated that it is haram for married women since they are sexually active but for a teen, its not applicable.2- I am religious withing and pray,etc...I believe everything is about our niye, I do drink occasionally for personal reasons. How haram is this?
