Dealing with the Other Gender
What should be our behavior while dealing with opposite gender ('non-maharam')-1. Should we wish Salaam or ignore his/her presence.(some scholars say that since voice of female is also a matter of 'pardah', it is better to avoid it)2. Can we talk about his/her family life etc. or our matter of talk should be limited to professional one?3. Are we allowed to shaken hand? If he/she forwards his/her hand to shake, what should we say to him/her? Will not he/she feel ashamed in front of his/her friends? It may be taken as m isconduct if this situation takes place in front public in 'prize distribution ceremony' and person who wants to shake hand is high rank ?Government officer?, say President of Country.4. If close relative comes to our home should we talk or leave him/her to get bored.5. Avoid talking, shaking hand, intermingling etc. - Is such ruling are applicable irrespective of age difference What I feel that whether we are veiled or not and have no bad intention, talking/seeing/hearing create some strange feeling in our heart; is it sin?
