Mesfaar Marriage: Procedural Innovation
Respected scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. A Saudi newspaper reported that some Saudi women suggested that they get married through a marriage they called Mesfaar. This marriage is solely for the purpose of getting licenses needed for their travel and they will get divorced after the job is over. Is this marriage valid? Jazakum Allahu khayran.
