as-salamu-alaikum, can a menstruating women visit the graveyard and offer doa there?
Salam, I have a few questions, 1)I would like to know whether a woman on her menses can perform umrah? 2) If a woman cannot perform the umrah whilst on her menses, can she stay with her relatives/other people whilst they are doing the umrah? 3) If a woman has her menses in her home country (before setting out on hajj) can a woman still do all the rites of hajj, or does her menses have to start during hajj in order to qualify to perfom all the hajj rites? 3) If a woman's menses finishes before leaving hajj, I have heard that she has to do the tawaaf ul ifadah at the end of her menses. But what if she does not get time as during the days left the rest of the hajj rites are being done. Can she then do the tawaf whilst on her menses as then she may not get enough time? 4) Following on from my last question is she allowed to do her tawaaf ul ifadah (which was left due to her menses) whilst the other rites of hajj are being done, or does she have to do it at the end of all the hajj rites? Jazakallah khair, I am very confused please help me out.
As-Salamu `alaykum! Could you please advise me as to when a woman should stop her prayers due to menstrual bleeding? I am confused as to whether I should stop as soon as I see any trace of blood or whether I should continue until I bleed fully. Also, should I stop praying for 7 full days or until I am satisfied that I am clean of bleeding?
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. I have a question regarding the woman’s menstrual cycle. Does my wife need to perform ghusl (bathing) before we have intercourse? We wait for her period to finish and have intercourse before she has performed ghusl. Is this allowed in Islam, or does she need to perform ghusl first? Also, if this is not allowed, then how can we rectify the situation for what has already been done? Jazakum Allah khayran.
As-Salamu `alayku m. I am middle aged and approaching menopause. My periods are very irregular in every way— when they come, how long they last, how heavy the flow is, the color of the blood.Sometimes, I start to have bleeding and it appears to be menstrual (brown or pink) so I stop praying (and fasting in Ramadan). Then nothing more comes. A few times when this happened, it was 48 hours before more blood appeared. So last month when some blood appeared, I waited 48 hours before I made ghusl and prayed again, though nothing had come out during that time. Then again on the first day of Ramadan, at Zhuhr time it looked like I was starting a period so I broke my fast and didn’t pray. I also didn’t fast the second day, thinking that I had started a period and more would come, but there was nothing. I didn’t want to wait 48 hours again, so I made ghusl and prayed `Isha’.The things I have read on fiqh don’t seem to quite answer my questions: How long should I wait before I start to pray (and fast) again when I have some menstrual-looking bleeding (if nothing more appears)? Do I have to make up the missed prayers when I wait to see if I’m “really” having a period?
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. Can I take pills in order to delay my menses so that I can catch the full month of fasting? Jazakum Allah khayran.
As-Salamu `alaykum! My question relates to whether a woman or a girl can read the Qur'an during her period by handling the Qur'an with her hands but a cloth in between.
Scholars of Islam, As-Salaam `Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh. Once, my wife thought that her period is over and so she took a bath and resumed prayer. Also, we had sex that day. But, the following day bleeding resumed. Are we sinners?
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. Is it allowed for couples to have sex using a condom during the wife’s menstrual period, if it is agreeable to both? Jazakum Allah khayran.
As-Salamu `alaykum. It is well known that a woman may have two types of vaginal bleeding (other than the bleeding after childbirth)—istihadah (chronic blood discharge), and menstrual blood. How can a woman differentiate between them?
As-Salamu `alaykum! From where do you get the idea that menstruation is "unclean"? I do not find it in the Qur'an. I believe that the idea that women cannot pray or fast while menstruating is alien to Islam and came in as an innovation after the death of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. I need an immediate answer to my question. A respectable young man proposed to me and my family wants to know my opinion regarding that. I want to perform Istikharah Prayer for guidance, but I have my period now, so I am not allowed to offer Salah. What can I do about this? Jazakum Allah khayran.
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. I have heard that it is not permissible for a woman to get married (have the contract written) or divorced while she has her period. I understand that intercourse isn’t permissible in this time, but I mean just the writing of the contract. Can it be done when the bride is menstruating? Jazakum Allah khayran.
Respected scholars, as-salamu `alaykum.I traveled to my home country and returned after two years. When I arrived home my wife was having her menstrual period but I could not control myself and had intercourse with her. Is it a sin and do I have to make any expiation?Jazakum Allahu Khayran.
