madhab

salaamu alaikum. inshaallah you receive this message in good health. my question is regarding that of the four madhhabs. i was at a talk and someone mentioned that those who dont follow a madhhab should be looked down on, if someone were to look down on someone, as he stressed that looking down on someone is wrong. however, many scholars in this era do not follow a madhhab and give fatwas..is it permisable for someone e.g me to follow these fatwas and not necessarily a madhhab?

AssalamaikumAs there is a time difference is ASR prayer between Hanafi and Shafi, is it ok if i pray ASR at Shaffi timings even though I follow the Hanafi.With duas and salaams for the excellent job you all are doing.  Allah is already you all Inshallah.

As-Salamu `Alaykum. I would like to know what is the ruling regarding following a Madhab. Is it necessary to follow one of the four Imams or can I live Islam by only applying the teaching of the Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah? Please give me a detailed answer backed up by evidence.
