Islam’s Stance on Liposuction
As-salamu `alaykum. I would like to make this enquiry on behalf of a convert friend. She would like to go through a liposuction for the purpose of reducing her weight. She is not so sure if this would go against our religion. Does this fall under the category of plastic surgery? I cannot provide her with any advice; hence I would appreciate if someone can clarify Islam's stance on the issue. ]]>
