Slaughtering Animals for Conducting Medical Tests
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,I work in a research laboratory developing agents used in medicine. After agents are developed, they are sent to an animal facility for testing in mice. After testing, the mice are sacrificed and their organs weighed to obtain biological data. Even though, personally, I do not test the mice and sacrifice them, is it permissible for me to continue with my work? I would never sacrifice the animals but would like to know if working on a project that does sacrifice animals is allowed or not. Jazakum Allahu khayran for your response.wassalamu alaikum
