Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. A person who does not pray, can he be called a Kafir, or is he still within the realm of Islam? Jazakum Allah khayran.
As-Salamu `Alaykum. What is the exact meaning of Makruh? What are the consequences of doing something that is Makruh?
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. As you know this is one of the most important advertising tools used to attract people to web sites, shopping centers or for that matter for any business. Some ask you to just sign up, some ask you to buy one to get enrolled, and some ask you to fill in a particular pattern to be eligible for a big prize in a draw. What is the ruling on that? Please explain in detail with regard to gambling and on what grounds it is, if it is, different from gambling. Also in some case you just get a meal or a soft drink free if you win. Jazakum Allah khayran.
As-Salamu `alaykum. My question is about the punishment for Zina (adultery) in Islam. According to Islam, there should be fo ur eye-witnesses, and these people should be known for their honesty. My question is that today we can prove whether or not adultery has occurred by using various laboratory tests (i.e., DNA). So, should Muslims use such tests to decide whether someone is guilty or not?
What is the point of view of Islam regarding torturing and killing animals in bullfighting and the like for public entertainment? Is it lawful to eat the meat of these animals after they have died from being hit by arrows, not by slaughtering? Or is it lawful to eat their meat after being slaughtered following being hit by arrows? I would also like to know the legal ruling concerning broadcasting the games of bullfighting and watching them.
