Grave visiting

what is the islamic ruling on womens going to graveyards to offer dua's for the near ones?if they are permitted to go,at what time?any conditions?

As-salamu `alaykum. I want to ask whether I can visit the grave of my mother in-law. I live in India; the people here are forbidding me to visit the grave of my mum-in-law. Do I have a right to visit her grave or not?

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatu AllahI heard from Sheik Omar Abdelkaffy that the woman is forbidden to visit the cemetery or the graves in any time. I Live in Ohio US and I  was visiting my husband grave every Friday and when I heard his speech I asked some brothers in the mosque where I live, They mentioned that there is a disagreement around this subject.
