Salam, I would like to ask if it is allowed to buy presents to a friend containing Christian symbols such as the the cross.

Assalamu Alaykum.Thank you for your very useful service.My question is related to accepting gifts from employers. I read that it is prohibited to accept gifts from employers. I work for a company where my employer said lately he would give me two and a half percent of revenues in the company because I stayed with company for a long period of time and they are pleased with my work, on the condition that I stay for another three years with the company. I don't have to pay anything to the company to obtain this share.Does this offer fall under the  category of a gift from an employer to an employee? I don't think all people in our company are receiving this offer.May Allah reward you.assalamu Alaykum.

Assalamualaikum, I have a friend who said something about dealing with the apostate. She said that "in the hadith it said that if we have a muslim friend who became non-muslim, we should stop being her/his friend & we may no longer accept his/her gift or eat/drink his/her food". My question is : is that true? If so, would you please tell which hadith? I just want to make sure that whatever argument I hear has a religious ruling instead of hearsay.thank you so much for your attention.Salaam,
