Assalamou 'a?aykoum wa rahmatou llah: I live currently in Spain. Almost everyday I receive loads of questions about Islam, mainly about the status of women. I would be so grateful if you could answer the following questions: 1- Why doesn't a woman have the right to go with men in the funeral? 2- What is the main reason behind polygamy? 3- Why did the Kuran in Surat "annisa'" talks about punishing a woman in the case of adultery and doesn't talk about punishing the man? Why can the man punish her while she can't do the same in similar cases?

Dear scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. A woman miscarried a child. The doctor said it could have been dead for one-and-a-half or two months. This means that the fetus was at least two months when it died. The question is whether Muslim burial rights are fard (obligatory) or mustahab (commendable) for the child in this case? What are the minimum requirements, given that the parents follow the Hanafi School of jurisprudence? Jazakum Allah khayran.

As-Salamu `Alaykum. What is the Islamic ruling concerning Muslim women praying Funeral Prayer?

Dear sheikh, as-salamu `alaykum. I have come to know that if a person dies in a given place, then we have to bury him in the country where he dies whether that is his homeland or not. We can't take him away to another place.My question is: If a person from Pakistan dies in London, then what can we do with his dead body, i.e., should we bury him in London or in Pakistan?

Dear scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. A funeral prayer was just about to be offered, when it came time for Al-`Asr prayer. In fact, the janazah was carried into the mosque before the second call to prayer so, people were not sure which prayer to offer first: Al-`Asr prayer or the Funeral prayer. Finally, we offered Al-`Asr prayer first, but some people criticized us for doing that. I would like you to give us the Shar`i ruling on this matter. Jazakum Allah khayran.

Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. While offering a funeral prayer behind an Imam, he finished the prayer by saying ‘as-Salamu 'alaykum’ after the third takbirah (i.e., saying ‘Allah Akbar’), and when he realized the mistake, he uttered the fourth and then said ‘as-Salamu 'alaykum’ again without offering a prostration for forgetfulness. If a Muslim commits suicide, can his fellow Muslims conduct a Funeral Prayer for him/her or attend such a Prayer? Please, provide your answer with evidence.

Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. I attended a session conducted by one of the sisters who was referred to as a woman scholar of Islam. While talking about the death of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) she said there was no Funeral Prayer said for him. I want to know if this statement is correct or not? If yes, what are the limits that should be considered while preparing the funeral?
