Q.4) What should one do if he has two opposite opinions regarding an issue. Should he elect any one opinion or should he found an intermediate path? Q.5) If one intends to grow beard but could not grow due to some reasons and shaves, will he be a sinner? Is there any method by which he can break is niiyat? Jazakallah. ALLAH bless you.
Salam,My question is: is it possible to have two imams in one Joumoua (weekly prayer) in the case where the first imam disabled and performed only the Joumou khoutba (first and second), and another man (not disabled) performed the joumou salat for the same group of persons including the disabled imam. Please clarify me regarding this issued, wa Jazakoumou Llahou koula khair any l'Islam wa Muslimine.Wa Salam.
In the past, I missed three consecutive Friday Prayers because of my work. I am afraid when I read a hadith that says that Allah will put the seal of hypocrisy on those who have done such a thing. Can you tell me whether this hadith is weak or false and what is the truth?
Respected scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. Are women allowed to pray the Friday Prayer? If not, please provide evidence from the Qur'an. I am a new Muslimah and people are telling me that women are not allowed to go to Friday Prayer. I need a reference from the Qur'an if this is true. Jazakum Allahu khayran.
Assalamu alaikum. My question is, is it permissible to fast on Fridays? If not, is there an exception if a certain Friday happens to be on the 13th, 14th, or 15th of the month on the islamic calender, seeing as it is a sunnah to fast on those days?
Scholars of Islam, as-Salamu `alaykum wa rahmatu Allah wa barakatuh. Once, I saw a blind entering the mosque while the Imam was delivering the Jumu`ah Khutbah. Then, a brother stood and led the man to a safe place. Does Islam permit a Muslim to interrupt the Khatib of the Jumu`ah in some occasions. Please, clarify this issue in some details. May Allah accept your efforts!
Respected scholars of Islam, As-Salamu `alaykum. Is it true, as some people say, that we are exempt from holding Jumu`ah Prayer if `Eid happens to be on a Friday, once the `Eid prayer has been performed?
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. I am student at a high school in Canada, and in my school we have weekly Jumu`ah Prayers. I believe we're performing the khutbah (sermon) incorrectly. We start off by the imam (fellow student) entering the room, saying “As-salam `alaykum”, followed by a member of the congregation saying the Adhan. The imam then reaches the center platform and recites a khutbah he found online. These are usually from websites with khutbahs written in English. My question to you is whether these written khutbahs are complete? Jazakum Allah khayran.
As-Salam `alaykum! Dear scholars, as we witness nowadays many Imams delivering Friday khutbahs (sermons) without taking steps or making efforts to make that sermons penetrate people’s hearts and have impact on their lives. Friday sermons are no longer aspiring to many, thanks to the poor styles adopted by many Imams in giving khutbah, as if they don’t care whether people are listening or not. Please, give advice on this issue?
Dear Sheikh, As-Salamu `alaykum. I am told that Jumu`ah Prayer (Friday congregationa l Prayer) is not obligatory upon women. But, if I pray Jumu`ah in a mosque, am I also required to pray Zuhr after that? Some people told me that since Zuhr is obligatory and Jumu`ah is not obligatory upon women, I have to pray Zuhr also. Jazakum Allah khyran.
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. Is the last hour of `Asr on Friday the “hour of response”? Do the Muslim men have to be in the mosque at this time, and do women have to be at home?
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. Is the Khatib delivering the sermon on Friday recommended to wear any special kind of clothing? For instance, is he recommended to cover his hair? I have seen some Khatibs wear a long coat like a Lab Coat, or others wear an `Abayah or the like, over their usual clothes. Is this an added sunnah or mustahabb (recommended)? Is it permissible in America for the Khatib to simply wear a suit, tie, trousers, etc. considering it is the dress (`Urf) of the people? Please advise. Obviously if there is a recommended sunnah then that has priority over `Urf (custom). Jazakum Allah khayran.
Respected scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. What are the essentials of the Jumu`ah khutbah ? I used to attend Jumu`ah in the past where imams, among other things, would conclude their sermons with du`aa’. One day I attended Jumu`ah in a relatively new mosque, and the imam did not offer any du`aa’ while concluding his sermon. Is this a sound practice? Jazakum Allahu Khayran.
