free will

Assalamualaikum, Dear scholar, My 9 year old daughter has been asking me questions that I don't know how to better explain them to her. Her questions are : 1.)If death is already destined to every human, how can one die from suicide if it's not really one's time yet to die? 2.)She learned that we should believe in faith. If one is destined to be bad, how can one can be good & vice versa? I want to answer her questions with sound reasoning that child her age can accept as it's not enough to tell her "because it's so".thank you for your time & help. Jazakkalahu Khair,

Dear scholars, As-Salaam `Alaykum. Is the decision of marrying somebody totally a person's decision or is it influenced by Allah's will? Why do some people say that marriages are made in heaven? If so then how come we are responsible for the marriages made here plus why some people are so lucky to have the compatible spouse and others not. I personally believe that the decision is entirely ours until we seek "Mashwara" from Allah in the form of “Istikharah “. But then the enigma of marriages made in heaven remains unresolved. What do you think? Jazakum Allah khayran.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatul Allahi wa barakatuh, Respected scholars: I have a question that has been bothering me for some  time.My question is on predestination.I know that everything in this life is predestined by Allah(SWT)and that everything happens by his will only.But what about the sins that we commit,or more specifically,the choices that we make which lead us to these sins,are they predestined as well?The reason I ask this is because I know someone who commited big sins in the past,but they have regreted them and have repented to Allah(SWT),but the problem now is that they can't forgive themselves and they fear that Allah(SWT)might not have forgiven them as well.In other words,because of their past ,they can't live their lives normally and the regret that they have is always at the back of their minds.They keep thinking:"What if I didn't do what I did" or "If only I could go back and start all over"? .What should a person in this state of mind do?how can I give them reassurance and help them regain their optimism in life  again?.Another thing that this person is experiencing is dreams about his previous sins which on ly makes him feel more guilty and hopeless.I would really appreciate your response on this issue and Jazakum Allahu Khairan for what you do.

Please explain what is the concept of fate in Islam. We Muslims say that Allah knows everything. He knows what is going to happen to us and He knows what our end will be. If Allah knows all these things, so why are we being judged? We don’t have our own will to do anything; in that case whatever we may do Allah already has our fate decided. Please reply.
