Parents Forcing Their Son To Marry
I'm currently in a personal dilemma in which my father wishes me to marry a girl who I do not wish to marry. I also believe that the marriage can?t take place as she related to my mother; in terms of being sister of my mother?s brother?s wife. Which would be my mother?s sister in-law I believe. Also prior to my mother?s brother getting married she was already my aunty. So I was wondering if the marriage is forbidden as it stated within the Qur?an: 4:23 (Y. Ali) Prohibited to you (For marriage) are:- Your mothers, daughters, sisters; father's sisters, Mother's sisters; brother's daughters, sister's daughters; foster-mothers (Who gave you suck), foster-sisters; your wives' mothers; your step-daughters under your guardianship, born of your wives to whom ye have gone in,- no prohibition if ye have not gone in;- (Those who have been) wives of your sons proceeding from your loins; and two sisters in wedlock at one and the same time, except for what is past; for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful;- Could you please tell me if it is permissible of what my father wishes to do? And if there is any other proof that states otherwise?
