The effect of fondling on `Iddah (waiting period)
Al Salamu 3lykom wa Rahmattu Allah,My wife and I decided to divorce. I divorced her three weeks ago and she started her eddah period in a separate room. Although we are still convinced that we have to divorce I could not stop myself from touching, kissing and fondling her but without having a sexual intercourse. Have we disturbed the eddah period by our actions that I have to divorce her for the second time or is the first divorce still maintained?
