Planning to Have a Family According to Financial Sources
Respected Schollars, Assalamu Alaikum wa rehmatullah! One of my close friends is a married man having 5 children, he is financially in a miserable condition not able to provide properly for the needs of his family and keeps on being very anxious, sad and hopeless for the same. On telling him to keep his family according to his financial limits, he says ´I CAN´T HAVE A WAR WITH GOD TO STOP HAVING CHILDREN´ for the fact that some other muslim told him that family planning is something not appropriate according to islam and that as long as you are married you have to get children.My question is, is it really a war with Allah Almighty for such kind of act? Can we think of having our family (children) according to our financial sources in order to provide them better nurturing, and for the fact that they don´t feel deprived of things that other children have and they do not have, when we (the parents) can´t provide them the same things others have coz we have many children and to come up with thier demands is out of our reach.
