Conducting farewell party for non-Muslim pilgrims
The Hindus in our state of Kerala, India, go to a famous temple called Shabari Mala. Every year, hundreds of thousands of Hindus from all over Kerala and from outside Kerala go to that temple to worship and they consider the journey as holy. This year, some of our Muslim brothers who are workers of an Islamic party conducted farewell parties for the Hindus who are going on the holy journey to Shabari Mala. They state that this is the real and ideal approach to bring other communities close to Muslims, citing that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) allowed and arranged for Jews and Christians to do their prayers in the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah when they came to visit the Prophet. What is your opinion on this subject?
