Divorce by an OCD Sufferer: Ruling and Treatment
Respected scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. I am a man inflicted with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). It obsesses me completely and always drives me to utter an explicit pronouncement of divorce, though I love my wife so much and I do not want to divorce her. However, it is such cursed obsessions that impel me to utter such a pronouncement to be followed by an agonizing regret on my part. So, what should I do? And will such divorce be effective?Jazakum Allahu khayran.
