Esselamu aleikum ve rahmetullahi ve berekatuhu !Im 30 years old, have wife and two children and we live together with my parents in Sweden, el hamdulilah. I practise islam for more than 10 years and allways wanted to take care of my parents.My parents dont practise islam and my mother have bought a staty and have picters here and there.So they dont like islam as we do so question is can we still live together ?

What is the Islamic view on extended family system? What did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mention regarding this? Should brothers stick together after the death of their parents, even if they don’t want to; and if parents are alive do they still have to stay together even if they agree to take the responsibility of the parents?
