Swearing Not to Invite People to One’s Wedding
Dear respected scholars of Islam,assalam Alykum. Inshallah I am going to get married on 27 February 2008. One person was asking me to invite more people for the wedding reception which I was not willing to do. However I was became kind of irritated by his question and later I said : ? Allah-er Kasam I will not invite everyone in my wedding.? I also told in my prayers not to invite everyone in my wedding. This was done in an emotional state. Now my questions are:1. If I invite some people for my wedding will that mean that I am breaking the promise? 2. If I break this promise to Allah and invite some people in my wedding will any harm come to my life? Will Allah forgive me if I break this promise?
