Evil Eye

Assalamu Alaikum I recently saw a baby and I noticed a black vertical line between his eyebrows drawn with kohl pencil or something similar. The father of the baby informed me that this is to keep the evil eye away and that it is from the ?sunnah?. I did research about this, and found nowhere any reference from the sunnah in relation to this practice ? I only found that it is a hindu and sikh practice, they believe it keeps evil eye away because the mark is like a blemish. Could you please advise? Thank you.

As-Salam, I never believed in black magic. I still don't, but things are going wrong even after making so many duas. I cry in my duas so that Allah listens to my prayers. I cry my heart to Allah, but for some reason Allah has not heard my prayers yet. I honestly believe Allah will listen to my prayers, Allah will help me when I have faith in him. However, people around me try to convince me that when my prayers are not being answered then I should think that there is some one out there who doesn't wish well for my husband. My question to you is, if black magic was done on our prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) then do you think it can be done on regular people like us. I would like to know what duas were recited by prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) to get rid of the power of black magic. I really need to know what duas to be recited to get rid of the evil intentions of people. Please help me. Jazakallah.

aslam alaikum my friend has a jinn on her. she said that she had tried everything but can't seem to get rid of it. she told me that the jinn is too powerful and is told such by the people she goes to get rid of it. she says nothing she has tried, is successful. i told her that the methods she must have used must not have been correct and that's why it wasn't successful and told her that allah is more powerful then the jinn and can get rid of it but she doesn't believe me she has lost all hope. she told me that the jinn also came on her friend. the jinn doesn't really affect her but when it possesses her it just does normal stuff and doesn't really physically harm anyone. she told me that it wants her to do stuff that she doesn't want to do. i am scared that it might come on me since it came on her friend. how do i approach her about this stuff and what kind of caution should i take? we have read surah baqra once in our house is that sufficient to keep jinns away or do u have to keep reading it regularly. i also read ayat-ul-kursi sometimes is that enough?thank you
