Rules of Animal Slaughtering in Islam
As-salamu `alaykum. My question concerns halal meat.as far as I know (please correct me as my knowledge on the subject is limitedl), the Qur'an does not describe exactly how an animal must be slaughtered and what words, if any, should be said when it is done. So how did the rules come about?also, is it acceptable to eat meat from the Children of the Book and say bismillah before eating if I have reasonable grounds to think that the animal was alive when killed (even if stunned) and was killed with a sharp blade without suffering? Please answer in brief.
