Considering Becoming a Muslim in Order to Marrying a Muslimah
I am a 45 year old married man. I am currently Catholic and married to a Catholic woman for the last 20 years. We have no children together. For the past 13 years I have been a chronic cheat and I have been unfaithful many times. I recently met a devout mulsim woman, had an affair with her without telling her that I was married. I fell in love with her, want to change to Islam, told her about my wife and have decided to divorce. Since I have sinned greatly, I want to make sure that I do everything properly to comply with Shari`ah so as not to disgrace this woman further in her own faith as I have decided to accept her faith as my own. What are the things I must do? How do I atone for my sin to my wife and to the other woman I have wronged.I need help.
