Dress code for women
As salamu `alaykum I appreciate this elegant web site about my sweet religion. Please tell me the Shalwar kameez girls wear today is immodest. They are worn very tight in my country, and even the belt (sewn up in the shalwar) is visible. The sides of the kameez have high slits? I am asking this question because in sha 'Allah, I need to know the code of conduct in dress. Please tell me the girl (woman)) has to cover all of her hair when she goes out? It's a sin if few strands of hair are visible from the front. The whole braid should be covered from behind when hair are long? If male cousins come to home, the girl has to follow same rules e.g. Hijab etc. in front of non-mahram relatives as when she goes out, she should follow? When we go to a function, for example a marriage ceremony, ladies must cover their heads? (as now a days the gatherings are mixed) It is a sin if a single strand of hair is visible in front of a non- mahram (someone who one can marry) even in functions? The girls here wear lawn and ville shalwar kameez. When they are walking in the park for exercise, the band and shoulderstraps of their are visible. Is it a sin to see (That is very erotic!) those [shoulderstraps and band of the bra] for boys as well as for girls? Also, such thin fabric which is easily showing undergarment and even the colour of the legs seem semi-nude is permissible in hot parts of the world?
