Diyyah (Blood Money) for Killing a Son
A father accidentally killed his two-year old son with his car. Is it obligatory for him to pay the Diyyah (Blood Money) besides the Kaffarah? If yes, then how much in term of currency and to whom this money is to be paid? If the father wishes to seek a waiver (Al-`Afwu) from the heirs of the child, must he seek it from all the heirs or is it sufficient just to seek it from any one of them? If among them there are minors, must the father wait till they reach the age of puberty?
