Differences among the Companions: Islamic Approach
As-Salamu `Alaykum. One of my friends told me a Hadith of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, that "the blood of one Muslim is haram on other Muslim," (I don't remember the exact words) and "the killer and killed both will go to hell." If this Hadith is true, then tell me why some of the most respected figures (i.e. the Prophet’s Companions) of Islamic history stood against each other? Tell me which one of them was on the true path and which one of them was responsible for the deaths of thousands of Muslims who were killed in the Battle of Camel, Hazrat `Ali, Amir Mu'awiya or Hazrat A'isha?
