dead sea

I have a question with regards to the Dead Sea. Is it prohibited or disliked to swim or be present in the area of the Dead Sea? I have heard that the reason for this is that it is the location where Allah punished the people of Prophet Lut.

As-Salamu `alaykum. I own a factory in Jordan; it manufactures cosmetics using minerals and mud from the Dead Sea region.My question is whether Islam prohibits having such business or not. The reason for this is that, as you know, Dead Sea is a place where Allah punished the people of Prophet Lut. I’m not sure if using Dead Sea minerals and mud for therapeutic purposes is prohibited in Islam or not.
