Congregational Prayer in a Rented Room or a Commercial Building
In North American society, I have seen that it is quite difficult to establish a regular Mosque and many steps have to be taken before a Mosque comes into existence, there are problems like zoning and parking, permissions from the city etc. The alternative is the use of temporary places of worship, which we call Mussalla, like renting a room or two in a commercial building. Some people say that the prayer in a Mussalla is not valid, only in a Mosque. They would prefer to pray at home even if there is a Mussalla very near to their homes and five times prayer is going on there. However, there are many scholars in North America and many that visit from Arabia, Pakistan and India, they do not object to the observance of prayers in such temporary places. What is your comment on the issue?
