I am a Malaysian currently studying medicine in Russia and there are several unsolved problems aroused in my life in Russia: 1. In winters the duration for asr prayer is only an hour and it sometimes clashes with important practical classes. What should I do? 2. Can we combine the prayers if I can't find a place to pray or due to time constraints when I go outing? Can this be applied for additional practical classes done with my own intiative? 3. My muslim friends in Russia said it's permissable to eat non-halal food with 'bismillah' recited before eating. Is it true? 4. Is it permitted to leave the Jumu'ah prayers because of having practical classes for more than 3 consecutive weeks?I appreciate your answers. thank you.

In winter at higher latitudes, the time of Zhuhr and `Asr is less than four hours total. So, if I leave the house by one o’clock, I must be back before four to pray `Asr. Is it OK to combine Zhuhr and `Asr Prayers before leaving?
