Child birth

I would like to get married but do not want to have kids at all. If I can find a husband to agree to this, is it okay to not ever have kids?

As-Salam `alaykum! What is the Islamic ruling concerning a "Baby Shower"? Can we do it just as a mere custom? If it is not allowed, can we make any kind of gather ing for a pregnant woman? I’d appreciate your answer.

Assalam-alikum ,Iam a muslim woman from India but currently residing in UK. Alhamdulillah it had been 4.5 yrs since i have been reverted to islam . My parents are Non-muslims . Allah (SWT) has given me the honour of motherhood and Iam 6 months pregnant now. My question is can I ask my mother to stay with me in UK at the time of delivery and post delivery for a few months so as to manage the things . Does this has any effect on the new born child when she is around. I could manage her to avoid any idol worshippings to carry on at my home during her stay. My husband (Muslim by Birth) is in a dilema whether to call her to UK bcos of these douts. but only thing is she would ne helpful for me in household things and help me in taking care of the child . Kindly answer my question .also please refer me any good Islamic material which i should learn or know to practice during the pregnancy period and post delivery . Jazak Allah . Soha.
