Is Annual Gathering to Recite Specific Du’a and Adhkar for the Deceased Sunnah?
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.Assalam-o-Alaykum,I have a question about the gathering which is performed by the family members of the beloved one who has passed away most probably on thursdays, being called 'Jumeiraat' then on the 40th day of his death, and then annually every year.This gathering includes combined prayers and mercies for the one who passed away using seeds or other objects as counters which might target to 100,000 or more in order to fulfil their belief that by doing this, Marhoom sins were wiped.Kindly explain if there is any authenticity of this act in ISLAM if so!May Allah reward you for your work.
